One of the main performers for the City Splash Fest, which will take place at Brockwell Park in Brixton, England, will be the Ghanaian singer Gyakie.
Following the popularity of her hit song, “Forever,” which peaked in 2021 and garnered the female artist millions of streams in more than a hundred countries, Gyakie has cemented her place as one of the most well-known West African performers.
Gyakie the sole singer from Ghana on the bill, will play with other international reggae, dancehall, and afrobeat musicians in the lineup posted and revealed earlier this week on the “City splash” Instagram page.
The event will feature top Jamaican talent Chronixx as the headlining act, with Koffee, Shenseea, Iration Steppas, Ras Kwame, Pioneer b2b Supa D ft. Coldsteps, and a slew of other artists serving as his support act.
The largest event in London honoring Caribbean and African music, cuisine, and culture is called City Splash. The festival aims to acknowledge and celebrate the music of Africa and the Caribbean’s contribution to British culture.
The event is scheduled for Wednesday, May 29, 2023, in this year.
