“Sugarcane” hitmaker, Camidoh is lobbying for his industry colleagues to get together and challenge the law that prohibits them from endorsing/advertising alcoholic products in the nation.
In 2015, the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) prohibited celebrities in the nation from advertising alcoholic products, in accordance with World Health Organization (WHO) guidelines and attempts to safeguard youngsters from being seduced into alcoholism. Several celebrities, including Shatta Wale, Wendy Shay, and others, have openly voiced their opposition to the ban.Camidoh – Sugarcane Feat Phantom (Official Video)
Camidoh, who has joined the long list of celebrities opposing the ban, has invited his colleagues to join together and file an appeal in a Twitter message.
“We in the creative industry really need to join together and properly challenge the law/embargo on celebrities supporting alcoholic beverages, betting companies, and so on,” he tweeted.
According to Camidoh, the restriction is not working since people continue to consume alcohol and gamble despite the ban.
“In my honest view, the restriction is not fulfilling its goal since we see these betting organizations growing and customers continue to consume these beverages despite the ban.”
