The official soundtrack for the 2022 FIFA World Cup includes Afrobeat star Davido.
On Friday, the Nigerian singer announced this via a tweet on his Twitter page.

Davido’s inclusion on the soundtrack comes after Nigeria’s Super Eagles failed to qualify for the World Cup.

Ghana’s Black Stars qualified for the World Cup on Tuesday after a 1-1 draw with Nigeria.

This earned Ghana one of five tickets for African representatives at the tournament, which is set to take place in Qatar this year.

Davido expands his appeal to Ghanaian musicians, including Stonebwoy and Medikal, and asks them to send him money.

Davido co-wrote the song with American R&B singer and social media personality Trinidad Cardona.

Aisha, an American J-R&B singer, is also featured on the track. The song, titled Hayya Hayya (better together), will be released on Friday, April 1, 2022.

This is a huge accomplishment for the ‘Champion Sound’ hitmaker, who recently made headlines after selling out his O2 concert, a feat that many artists strive for.
