Ghanaian rapper Maradona Yeboah Adjei, identified as Guru in a post, has disclosed his lack of appreciation for the Vodafone Ghana Music Awards-VGMA.

For years since the start of the esteemed awarding stratagem, VGMA, Guru has missed nominations.

The reason behind his exclusion is circled around so many controversies between him and the organizers of the awards years back.

Time without number in every year, Guru never considered the VGMA. He still challenges the integrity, the reputation and the parameters used in the awarding  an artist.

In his new assault on VGMA 21 this year, Guru said in a tweet that the VGMA ‘s reputation will be recovered the day he received the Artiste of the Year.

“Ghana music award Go be credible the day a go win artist of the year”

In a separate post, he couldn’t understand why an artist like Kuami Eugene with 2 songs (according to Guru) won an artist of the year, while anyone with 10 hit songs a year won none.

In this scenario, he contrasted Sarkodie, who was also in the category of Artist of the Year, to Kuami Eugene.

Guru insists that Kuami Eugene ‘s songs may not be the best, just because of the unethical actions of the organizers who gave it to him.
